I assigned a midterm for my urban politics class that had the students go into Baltimore and write about their perspective. Here is a video that some of the students made about their experience.
Baltimore from the view of students

The students who put this together did a great job.
My Takeaways
1) There’s probably not a lot of room for error for even the most talented and hard-working African Americans who would attempt to overcome B-More’s poorest neighborhoods.
2) Comfortably middle-class and upper-class U.S. citizens who have convinced themselves that any U.S. citizen, bearing any phenotypical traits, should inherit those types of circumstances, probably need to reflect on what MERCY really means.
3) In a country as incredibly wealthy as ours, communities such as B-More’s poorest neighborhoods are not required, so what merciful person could possibly desire that other U.S. citizens would inherit them?
What happened to it? It’s no longer available.
My fault. The students came up with a newer version I haven’t linked to yet….
